Super sandwich: The Results

For the past week on Twitter I have been asking the entire world (well, those on Twitter who are not spambots) what would make the perfect sandwich.

By using a carefully constructed series of scientifically sound Twitter polls ranging from the type of bread to cheese and meats and even whether or not the whole ensemble should be cut into triangles or not, my aim was to use the power of collective thought to help build the best butty mankind has ever witnessed.

However the vote is over and now that I have got my breath back, I can finally reveal the full results.

It has been a tough challenge, and not one without any pitfalls either.

The debate over the type of bread that our sandwich should be made from was as close as the Brexit debate and just as contentious!

You can tell by these screenshots of the votes just how tight it was and I’m sure you can imagine the cold sweat beading down my brow as these polls were coming to an end… it was gripping.

POLL ONE:

POLL TWO:

POLL THREE:

POLL FOUR:

POLL FIVE:

As you can see, not the best of results.

Infact, pretty shit results to be honest.

But maybe I can save something from this utter mess.

Instead of trying hard to make a sandwich that looks amazing and tastes divine…. Maybe all people want is a simple bit of bread and ham with nothing else on it.

All these coffee shops and pharmacies that sell meal deals can now stop wasting money and food with their Prawn and cucumber nonsense.

Nobody actually wants to eat pulled pork and red onion.

Who REALLY likes the feel of guacamole or three day old beef on their tongue?

Nobody I want to speak to, that's all I know.

So maybe it’s just best to stop wanting more when satisfaction lies within the simple things in life.

Like a boiled ham sandwich on white bread cut in straight lines (not triangles).
