gun for hire

We are only half way through February 2018 and there have already been well over a dozen school shootings in the USA.

a number of young aspiring students and teachers lost their lives because some dickhead thought it was a good idea to go around with a big gun and kill them all.

That arsehole is currently in custody at the time of writing but there are still many MANY more guns, assault rifles and dangerous weapons legally available in America as we speak.

The vast majority of gun owners are, I would assume, responsible adults who either collect guns as a hobby, or for their job or even self protection.

This is a constitutional right in the USA and is one of the things many citizens hold very dear.

There is a growing argument for tighter gun control in an attempt to try and reduce the many deaths caused by idiots and murderers throughout the USA, but there are an equally loud (and very rich) group who point blank refuse to listen to any kind of change to the second amendment.

The second amendment includes the following passage :  A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

there is an argument that the words "People to keep and bear arms" means that everybody should be able to own a gun and even carry a fully loaded weapon of any calibre at any time.

The fact that those words are being taken out of context, as individuals are not part of a Malitia, is niether here nor there... the words are written and so it should stand as law that people can carry guns, including assault rifels that can fire dozens of bullets at long range in a matter of seconds.

The people and groups, including the NRA (National Rifle Association) say they do not wish to have peoples rights taken away from them and think this opens the flood gates for other importnat rights to be nulified and changed to the detriment of the people of the USA.

The other side of the argument say that peoples lives, childrens lives are more importnat that the wording of a 200 year old document.

With this in mond there now exists a stalement where the common sense approach of those who wish to live in relative peace and not fear death by neighbour clash with the million of dollars in lobbiests and campaign funding that results in law makers couning dollar bills at the same rate as death rates in their states.

It's a tough nut to crack, but I have the solution.

It would be near impossible to get rid of peoples guns, especially when so many are willing to die for their beliefs.

It would also be pissing into the wind to try and educate those who chose green bits of paper to rule their lives.

So I say - Let people have their guns.

If guns are your chosen comfort blanket, if guns make you feel safe and you truly only need a gun for protection of yourself and your family - you can have your guns.

But the bullets will cost $1000 EACH.

$1000 is nothing compared to the life of those closet to you.

No issues there.

If you keep your guns for hunting, I'm pretty sure the NRA and the government will give you a tax rebate to keep pesky varmints from ruining your crops or whatever. You are more likley to be a better shot, knowing that each miss a grand down the drain as well!

If you "need" to keep more than one bullet to keep your family safe, then I'm pretty sure you are going to keep a better eye on where you leave your gun.

Any sane person would be more willing to upgrade their security when what is being stored is worth tens of tousands of dollars compared to the $10 for 50 bullets as it is now.

The police and FBI will have more incentive to capture ilegal bullets and guns as they would be worth $1000 each!

Anyone caught with more than 10 bullets on the street will have to answer some pretty serious questions in a police cell, as there is no real reason to have $10,000 in your pockets without a valid permit (hunting for example, but the gun would have to be a suitable one for the type of game being hunted)

Making bullets more expensive will allow people to still have guns for their owen proctection and raise a lot of cash for the tax system whilst at the same time ensuring pewople REALLY look after their weapons and not let the local nutter get their fucked up hands on them but also make the world a slightly safer place to live.

Oh you may say that criminals will still get hold of bullets and go around killing folk, but there will ber a whole lot less of them and making your own bullets (that don't blow up in your face and take your nose off) are very hard to produce on a large scale.

So there you have it.

Let those who wnt guns have them. But the bullets that kill, they will cost a lot more and save many lives.

Yet again I have sacved the world.

You are very welcome.
