Fitzsip saves the day #1

The UK is in a terrible state of affairs when it comes to money.

With a national debt of over £186,000,000,000 (one point eight TRILLION pounds, as of writing) and is skyrocketing at an alarming rate.

There is not one single politician with a satisfactory answer to how we can get this incredible figure under control and reduce our levels of debt.

This is mainly because MP’s have not bothered to ask me.

I have the answer.

It’s easy!

First we need to understand a few things that are blurted out by our representatives in the Houses of parliament.

Debt vs deficit.

As already mentioned, our debt is over £1 trillion but MP’s often like to talk about the deficit. These are two very different things.

Any time somebody mentions deficit they are talking about the difference in money in compared to money out.

Put simply, If you have a loan of £5000 and you are paid £1000 per month but have to pay £1200 in bills each month you have a deficit of £200 and your total debt is £5000.

For the UK those figures are Debt of £186 TRILLION with an income of around £802 BILLION and a deficit roughly £52 Billion, as per spring 2017.

This mean that the UK is spending more than £50 BILLION per year than it collects in taxes, meaning our debt will continue to rise until this is sorted.

I have a solution to our problems that would potentially increase the UKs income whilst reducing debt to zero and obliterating the deficit.

All we have to do is sell Scotland.

BOOM!

Here comes the science bit…..

The people of Scotland are forever talking about separating from the rest of the UK and have a great desire to become independent.

This would be a challenge for any nation or new country, but if Scotland were “owned” by, let's say a conglomerate of American billionaires, they could become a self sustaining nation, different and separate from England and Wales as they wish, whilst being able to grow their own economy with the backing of their mega rich backers.

The USA loves Scotland and those Texan oil barons and Silicon Valley money makers who jump at the chance of owning a part of their historic heritage.

What’s more, they could easily afford to club together to pay the £1.9 Trillion price tag for a beautiful country that can be a haven for their businesses and pastimes.

Who wouldn’t want to control their own tax contributions and have a potential work force of 5.3 million bodies at their disposal?

Some of you may scoff at the idea that this plan could pass it first test, but these idiots are constantly spending money on spaceships and solid gold mobile phones, so the thought of owning mountain ranges, huge fishing rights, whiskey distilleries and a god damn sea monster that can all increase their wealth seems like a no brainer!

There would be a note in the contract of sale that states the Scottish people must be dcared for and in no way left without a fully functioning NHS, School system or public services.

The successful bidders would be more than happy to provide world class educational facilities as their future workforce should be one that is the envy of the world.

The same goes for a health service that keeps the workers in tip top shape.

The rest of the Uk would no longer have to pay for these services and at current rates of return the UK spends an extra £12 billion than it receives to keep the Scots part of our nation.

THat is more money in our pockets!

There would be those in Scotland that would not want their country to leave the UK, but as this would not happen until a referendum vote in favour for Scotland leaving, democracy would win out on the day.

The result of this would ensure that the UK remains prosperous whilst allowing the people of Scotland to create their own country and decide their own future and at the same time make a lot rich people even richer.

Everybody wins.

The UK is no longer in debt, there is no more deficit and we have even managed to resolve the Scottish independence issue at the same time.

Not bad for a first attempt at solving the world’s problems.

You are very welcome.
